Growers Choice Seeds Information
Growers Choice Seeds is an international seed company based in California. Their seed bank is the result of 20 years of industry research carried out by a team of horticultural and medical experts. They’ve used their expertise to combine some of the world’s best seeds with high-quality customer service.
They aim to provide fresh, hand-selected seeds that are inspected and lab tested to prove their quality. This is not a company who claim to stock seeds from a vast range of global breeders, but one who provides a select line of the best seeds carrying the best genetics.
Growers Choice Seeds offer a range of about forty strains at any time. All varieties are feminized, and there is a small selection of autoflowers and high CBD varieties. Some are always stocked, but others come and go making it always worth checking to see if they have anything new.
The seeds are divided into smaller categories to make it easier to find what you’re looking for although, the small number almost makes it not worth it. I found it easier just to browse through the full range and take a closer look at the ones that caught my eye.
Each category has a landing page which gives lots of detailed information to help you make your choice. While this is useful, you must scroll past it to get to the list of seeds. After a while, this can become a bit irritating. To bypass this, you might find it quicker to use the drop-down menus at the top; they list all the strains in each category. The categories available are:
- On sale
- High CBD
- High THC
Unfortunately, I found some of these to be a little disorganized and confusing. Seeds that were classed as medical seeds weren’t included in the feminized list even though all their seeds are females.
Also, the Indica category consists of any seed that contain any Indica genetics. The same is true of the Sativa list. A hybrid with 90% Indica and 10% Sativa genetics are included on both lists. The result is that both categories contain a nearly identical list of seeds.
This is obviously a well-chosen selection of high-quality seeds, but its small size means that it is more suited to having a brose to see what takes your fancy. If you have a shopping list of strains you are after, you may be better off visiting one of the larger seed banks.
Growers Choice Seeds currently stock over 40 feminized seeds, 17 autoflowers and six medical strains.
Some of their most popular seeds include:
- Cinderella 99
- Cheese Auto
- CBD Shark
- Chemdog #4
Growers Choice Seeds Payment Options
Growers Choice customers can select from a variety of payment options. They accept payment by mail, cryptocurrency, ACH electronic checks or credit/debit card. If you live in the U.S., you have the additional option of using Zelle, and if you are ordering from Canada, you can choose Interac e-transfer.
Details of how to make payment will be sent to you via email after you have placed your order and signed out. If you choose to pay by mail, you can only use cashier’s check, certified check or money order. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Because this option is easier to process, Growers choice will send you three extra seeds as a thank you.
Cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum are all accepted, and detailed instructions on how to complete a transaction are available on the payment information page. If you choose either of these, you will also receive an extra discount on your order.
ACH payments aren’t encouraged because the entire process can take up to 7 business day, making you wait longer for your seeds. If you are in the U.S. or Canada, Zelle or e-transfer are a better option because they are quick and have no transaction fee.
Credit card payments are only available for wholesale customers and will incur an extra 8.5% transaction fee. Credit card companies make it hard to make payments for cannabis products and add additional security measures and fees.

The most regular complaint is that of non-germinating seeds despite the helpful guarantee.
“These are crap seeds. I’ve been doing this for 20 years I got one out of 10 to grow and it’s not growing well I’ve never had this problem with any of my seeds before from other banks This company is out for a quick buck they don’t care about the product.“John left a review to share his outrage at the poor germination rates.
The customer service team were quick to respond:
We are sorry your seeds didn’t germinate. Please reach out to our live chat or email us at email@example.com and one of our customer service representatives will be more than happy to assist you and see if your replacement free seeds can be covered by our germination guarantee.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!“
“They expect pictures of every failed seed, so you better take daily pics of every seed, and keep a journal of everything you did and how long you tried to get them to pop. They want a detailed explanation of how you tried to germinate them.“Sherri Kish pointed out that to claim new seeds on the germination guarantee requires you to keep detailed notes of the process you use for each seed.
